poetry two

So much darkness I can’t escape
Thickening fog fills an inky night
Tendrils of dread on shoulders drape
Icy fingers holding tight

Abandoned in the pit of hell
Creatures clawing at my soul
It is the place where I do dwell
A black and dank, fearsome hole

I’ve searched, I’ve felt, there’s no way out
I’ve tried, I’ve cried, I’ve talked and thought
Every day I scream and shout
But in this hated place I’m caught

In my own hell and feeling lost
Death bells ring with ominous tone
Into the graveyard I’ll be tossed
The silence of my world alone
